Sustainability and External Relations: Our goal is to gain access to land, resources, approvals and capital Your Impact   Manage water operations to ensure efficient usage and compliance with environmental regulations As part of our team you will In this role, the individual will: Drive water collection responsibilities Optimize water treatment processes Handle discharge of contact water Design operational aspects Collaborate with various departments Achieve current and future goals Drive outsourcing projects Create maintenance plans Initiate operational improvements Identify relevant risks, embed mitigation measures, and continuously investigate for risks Prerequisites for your success in this role Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Mining, Water Resources, or related field). Master’s degree in Environmental Management, Water Resources, or Business Administration is an asset. Fluent English required; additional languages are an advantage. Experience & Technical Knowledge Strong knowledge of water management systems, including water collection, storage, pumping, treatment, distribution, and discharge. Experience with water treatment processes and continuous optimization of treatment plant performance. Understanding of environmental regulations and water compliance requirements. Familiarity with water balance management, surface and groundwater systems, and contact water management. Experience with maintenance planning and asset management systems such as SAP, Maximo, or similar. Knowledge of water modeling and process simulation tools is desirable. Leadership & Competencies Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage, develop, and motivate teams. Experience leading cross-functional projects and collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, Environmental, and Engineering teams. Experience managing contractors and outsourced service providers. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work effectively in remote industrial or mining environments. Your work environment Where you will be located! The position will require travel to appropriate locations (Mostly Cajamarca/Site and Lima) to support the operation The position will require periodic living in the Yanacocha camp. The person must be in good health and physical condition to work in the field in various climatic conditions and at altitudes of up to 4,000 meters above sea level. The incumbent may be required to travel and assist other sites nationally and internationally. We understand no candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
